Established in 1990, Rehder & Associates, Inc. is a full service Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Company serving the Twin Cities metro area and greater Minnesota. Our Team
Nicholas P. (Nick) Adam, PE
Nick is President and Principal Civil Engineer with over 25 years of experience (all at Rehder). He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in degree in Civil Engineering in 2000 and was registered in 2004. Nick works on both commercial and residential projects in the public and private sectors and is our foremost expert on storm water management, including hydrologic modeling and storm water analysis.
Christine Larson
As Vice-President of Rehder & Associates, Christine is responsible for overall operations of the firm. She received a degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Land Use Planning from the University of Minnesota in 2002.
John Jacoby
John is Head Survey Crew Chief with over 35 years of land surveying experience. John graduated from St. Paul College in 1986 with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology and is certified by the NSPS for Level III Construction.
Scott Schultz
Scott is a surveyor with 24 years of experience and spends most of his time in the field collecting data for boundary and topographic surveys or construction staking.
Matthew Thiel, RLS
Matthew is a registered land surveyor and received his license in 2024. He graduated from Beloit College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and received a Geomatics Advanced Technical certificate from St. Paul College. Having worked in the field of land surveying since 2013, Matthew has experience in most aspects of residential and commercial land surveying, including field work and drafting. His primary role at Rehder & Associates is drafting and project management.
Ben Quaas, PE
Ben is a Professional Engineer having passed the PE exam in 2021. He graduated with honors from North Dakota State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and started working at Rehder & Associates shortly after. Ben has assisted and managed in moving projects through all phases of design.
Rick Samson
Rick has been involved with surveying since 1990. He has considerable experience as a Crew Chief and a Survey Technician. He enjoys being in the field as much as creating drawings in the office with Civil 3d. He has worked on big construction projects, small lot surveys and everything in between. Knowing many aspects of surveying is key to enjoying a long career in this field.
